In a historic celebration of Indian cinema’s 100-year journey, London played host to a unique auction featuring rare and vintage Bollywood memorabilia. Organized by Conferro Auctions, the event showcased an extraordinary collection of items representing the rich legacy of Bollywood.
The auction included around 150–170 lots such as original film posters, banners, vinyl LP records, lobby cards, and gramophones from iconic films like Mughal-e-Azam, Sholay, and Mother India. These items reflected the artistic and cultural evolution of Indian cinema over the decades.
Held at the prestigious Westbury Gallery in London’s Mayfair, the event attracted collectors and enthusiasts from across the globe, including the UK, India, Europe, and the Middle East. The auction marked one of the first major efforts to bring Indian film memorabilia into the international collectibles market.
The initiative also had a philanthropic aspect, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Pratham UK, supporting education for underprivileged children in India.
This landmark auction not only celebrated a century of Bollywood but also reinforced its growing global influence, demonstrating how Indian cinema continues to captivate audiences and collectors worldwide.
